Article 42 Waste management plans and waste prevention programmes 1. Member States shall include in the waste management plans required pursuant to Article 28 of Directive 2008/98/EC a dedicated chapter on the management of packaging and packaging waste, including measures taken pursuant to Articles 48, 50 and 52 of this Regulation. 2. Member States shall include in the waste prevention programmes required pursuant to Article 29 of Directive 2008/98/EC a dedicated chapter on the prevention of packaging, packaging waste and packaging discarded as litter, including measures taken pursuant to Articles 43 and 51 of this Regulation.
